5G-current status & developments in
detail
5g is limitated only very few major cities currently.
What is 5G?
5G is the next generation connectivity standard., offering faster speeds and more reliable connections on devices. With cutting-edge network technology, 5G might offer connections that are way more faster than 4G connections, with average download speeds of around 1GBp.The 5G will help power a huge rise in size of data, that reguraly sent over internet through photos,videos/songs.
With development underway , 5G networks are expected to launch all around the world by 2020.
In the US Verizon ,the famous mobile carrier company already launched 5G network at the start of April 2019.it the first in the world to offer 5G network.
This only covers some limited parts of Chicago and a few other locations, and there are just two handsets currently available to use on the new 5G network. In Chicago. The network able to give dataspeed somewhat around 1.4Gbps, which is massively faster than 4G's theoretical top speed of 300Mbps (although average speeds tend to be below 100Mbps).
Limitations
The 5G network uses high frequncy rate to give much higher data speed than 4g, although it comes with some limitations.Higher frequencies can't travel much longer, so have to install mobile towers in every 200-300 meters to obtain that frequncy continously.
5G signal usually blocked by solid objects like tall buildings, car, walls, mountains etc.
5G speed in London is in between 200Mbps to 550Mbps - much quicker than 4G though.
Current 5G developments
Verizon proviodes 5G supported phones
AT&T providing 5G services in 19 cities across the States, but it doesn't have any 5G phones.

In the UK ,current 5G supported phones options are , the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, Oppo Reno 5G, OnePlus 7 Pro 5G, Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G and the LG V50 ThinQ 5G.
In Australia, available 5g phones are -Oppo Reno 5G and the LG V50 ThinQ 5G , Samsung Galaxy S10 5G.
Data speed of 5G
5G speeds will vary between locations, countries, carriers and devices, but on the whole the average internet speed you can expect should be much greater than what's currently offered on 4G.
